Management systems
ISO 50001 is an international standard for the implementation of energy management systems, helping
to create the systems and processes necessary to increase
energy efficiency.
"According to the provisions of the Energy Efficiency Act of May 20, 2016, the implementation and certification
of ISO 50001 fulfills the obligation of an energy audit for large enterprises"
.
We offer the most comprehensive service for the implementation and certification of PN-EN ISO 50001:2018
Implementation of the system
Certification
Supervision audits
Recertification
Why implement and certify with IBiC?
Certification guarantee
Identification of potential for improving energy efficiency
Short implementation time
Low implementation cost, free when using funding or ESCO services
The 50001 standard, through the application of proven and effective organizational practices, allows the company to continuously increase its energy efficiency while fully complying with applicable legal and formal requirements. Obtaining a certificate of compliance with the ISO 50001 standard allows avoiding the obligation to conduct energy audits.
Implementing an Energy Management System in the enterprise and subjecting it to certification by an independent certifying body brings many benefits in various dimensions: financial, economic, organizational, systemic, and process-related.
Exemption from the obligation of an energy audit every 4 years
Opportunity to benefit from funding from EU funds for large energy projects (e.g., the requirement to have ISO 50001 when funding the construction of cogeneration from Norwegian funds).
Obtaining monetary compensation for energy-intensive sectors and subsectors in accordance with the act of July 19, 2019, for the increase in electricity costs.
Possibility to obtain "white certificates" for the implementation of measurement, monitoring, and control systems for energy and industrial processes as part of implementing ISO 50001.
Adhering to the principles of the ISO 50001 certification policy allows for significantly reducing energy costs in the enterprise;
Quick identification and introduction of corrective measures in case of noticeable changes in energy consumption;
Ability to accurately identify areas requiring improvement in efficiency;
Ensuring compliance with current and future legal requirements and regulations regarding improving energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions;
Promotes energy management policy and establishes thinking in terms of energy efficiency within the enterprise;
Promotes innovative solutions.
1. Implementation
Stage 1
Analysis of the existing management system in terms of the requirements of the ISO 50001 system (preliminary audit).
Preparation of a monitoring and measurement plan for the energy management system.
Preparation of a project for the installation of measuring devices.
Preparation of a proposal for an energy policy, methods of communication, and additional measures to improve the energy efficiency of the organization.
Stage 2
Energy review - identification and registration of areas of electricity, heat, gas, etc. consumption.
Determination of baseline energy, areas of significant energy use, and identification of optimization areas.
Establishment of an energy team and training for employees.
Setting an energy goal for an agreed time frame.
Metering of main energy consumers - electricity, heat, cooling, compressed air, ventilation.
Implementation of recommended measures to improve energy efficiency.
Stage 3
Conducting an assessment of compliance with legal requirements.
Stage 4
Conducting internal audits at planned intervals to confirm compliance and results of the energy management system
with ISO 50001.
Certification process - Three-year certification cycle
Certification
Supervision audits (once a year)
Recertification (once every 3 years)
