Why choose IBiC for ECO certification?
ECO certification is a strategic business advantage
Today’s customers increasingly evaluate not only the product itself, but also the origin of raw materials, environmental impact, and end-of-life disposal processes.
Fast certification process and short lead time
1. The first step in the EKO certification process is to submit a certification request to IBiC.
2. Next, the applicant completes a detailed qualification questionnaire provided by an IBiC certification specialist.
3. Based on the submitted questionnaire, IBiC evaluates whether the product or service qualifies to enter the certification process. A formal decision is then issued defining the required certification path, including:
Evaluation of the implemented management system
Need for an audit Audit requirement assessment (if applicable)
Method of assessing the product composition Product composition or service delivery method assessment model
Our core focus is a comprehensive conformity assessment, verifying product composition, material sourcing, environmental impact, and quality consistency in line with recognized standards.
If non-conformities are identified, the applicant implements corrective and preventive actions, supported by IBiC guidance, to meet certification requirements.
Important: The EKO Certificate confirms compliance with ecological and environmental standards. It does not always guarantee 100% organic ingredients unless the product specification explicitly supports such qualification
In a competitive global market, the EKO Certificate serves as a strong, independent proof of environmental responsibility, increasing credibility and customer trust.
EKO certification builds trust and strengthens market position.
Certification Process — 3-Year Cycle 1. Initial Certification 2. Annual Surveillance Audits 3. Certification Renewal
The EKO Certificate distinguishes products and services that demonstrate: Environmentally responsible composition and material sourcing (for product certification),
Use of environmentally safe and compliant operational materials or processes (for service certification),
Implementation of a certified management system ensuring quality consistency and regulatory compliance.
