A pellet quality certificate can be issued for a certain type of pellet, and the owner of the certificate can only be the manufacturer or importer of the product. The certificate is issued only for a specific fuel product, which is under the constant supervision and control of the certification body, and means that this pellet meets the requirements of this class. Companies that have a Pellet quality certificate are required to carry out permanent sample control of the product parameters covered by the program. Thanks to this, the recipient can be sure that the granules have the proper properties.
Until 2021, the certification of pellets was carried out according to the standard: EN 14961, but at the moment the relevant standard is EN ISO 17225

How to get a pellet quality certificate.
The first step in certification is to submit an application. Then, after determining the cost of certification and signing the certification agreement, it is necessary to provide the necessary documents and test reports. As a rule, submitting an application for a certificate usually consists of an audit part (consists mainly in confirming compliance with accepted requirements), a testing part (testing raw materials, etc.) and an inspection part (carried out after the certificate is issued).
